Bob Cook, our Founder, also once a Captain in the Air Force, [hence our name Captain Cook], decided to start Captain Cook Real Estate in 1991, after working for 15 years with Oahu's largest residential broker as a sales manager and associate partner of the firm. So far his decision has worked, probably better than he originally intended. Originally started as strictly real estate sales, Captain Cook Real Estate later added long-term property management which now manages around 270+ properties, as well as short-term or vacation rentals in Waikiki, which consist of about 180+ properties in various condos spread throughout Waikiki.
